‘Alabama is a battlefield of perceptions.’ Bonnie Blue Edwards was actually born in Florida, but was raised in Alabama, and it’s that upbringing that motivated and informed her current documentary project, Out in Alabama. A documentary about the brave Alabama communities that support LGBT rights, Out in Alabama is now looking for funds through Kickstarter, and, with UK support from art designer and UK-native painter/actor Paul Duncan and one of the participants in the promo video, Cicero Souza, Edwards is hoping to grab support from across the Atlantic.
